It takes two to
— Lu Han/Kai. R for brief sexual content. 1332 words.
— Jongin is young, wild, attractive. Lu Han is enamoured. He tries putting the blame on Jongin when one thing leads to another.
— For the kfa fic exchange, for the lovely "aiwo". To Lia and J, thank you for the hand-holding. I wouldn't have been able to work on this without your help. :)

The first time it happens is the day before their showcase. The practice ends earlier than usual, but Lu Han strains his body for another full hour before deciding to call it a day. His throat is sore and his shirt sticks to his body, boring wet spots on the fabric. Lu Han reaches for the water bottle near the entrance, and Jongin suddenly walks in and presses a cold bottle of water against his cheek. "I thought you'd gone home with the others already," Lu Han says, the nozzle of the bottle hanging loosely on his lips. Jongin shrugs and, even with Jongin's head held up high, Lu Han can tell that Jongin is tired. "Joonmyun will be looking for you." "He's out cold back in the dorms. Your leader told me to fetch you." "Why not Yixing, though?" Jongin laughs. "Because you won't be able to make it back before the showcase starts. You know how horrible his sense of direction is." Lu Han nods thoughtfully, then gets back on the dance floor, eager to practice now that he isn't alone. He doesn't exactly know how it happens, except he might have consciously brushed against Jongin's bare arm and wrapped his fingers around Jongin's neck when he slipped and Jongin caught him by the waist. He might have sucked in too much breath that he wasn't able to answer Jongin's question — "You okay?" He might have leaned in a bit too close when Jongin was helping him to get up, might have tripped on his own toes and placed a kiss on Jongin's lips. "If anyone asks, I'm telling them it's your fault," Jongin says, breath occasionally hitching. Lu Han just nods because the system of words elude him, and because Jongin has reduced him to a senseless string of words as Jongin gives his cock fast, effective pumps. They lie flat on the floor after the frenzy, and Jongin rolls to his side, cozying up to Lu Han a little. Lu Han checks himself for damages — the bite Jongin's placed on his shoulder stings and glows a pale shade of red. "Kris will kill me," Lu Han says, punctuating the statement when he cusses under his breath and, beside him, Jongin just laughs and tosses his phone aside when Joonmyun's call alert sounds off. --- The second and third, after one of their SM Town tours, in the dressing room. "You just can't keep your hands off me, can you?" Jongin says, teasing, and Lu Han slaps him hard on the arm before freeing Jongin's waist from his belt. Jongin brushes his lips tentatively against Lu Han's but never lingers long enough for a kiss. If there's anything Jongin wants, he only ever asks for a handjob. It's not that Lu Han keeps count. The image of Jongin arching to his touch, the small 'o' of his mouth, the curve of his back, burn bright behind his eyelids and are enough to imprint a clear image in his mind. So remembering comes easily to him, even when he runs through the list of Jongin's flaws in his head — one, rude and abrasive; two, exhibitionist on the dance floor; three, horny. "You done daydreaming?" Jongin asks. The question comes out as a low purr and it rings in Lu Han's ears for a while, until he shakes off the feeling and gives Jongin one good pump. Jongin comes, choking on what seems to be another snarky remark, and Lu Han smirks a little. Number four, too easy. "I told you never to catch me off guard," Jongin complains while he pulls his pants up, tidying himself up. "If the coordi noona sees this, I'm screwed." "But you already are. I screwed with you." Jongin sneers. "Funny." Jongin runs his fingers through his hair and sticks out his tongue before turning around to leave. The rule is to never leave the scene of the crime at the same time, and Lu Han has always been the unfortunate one to leave last. So he adds two more items to the list — number five, too young. Number six, too attractive. --- Two years and four awards after, Lu Han gets arrested for DUI. He'd have been caught with Yixing if Yixing wasn't too drunk to even get his ass off the couch and his arms around Kris during New Year, so he's stuck with Jongin. The test results are released and his alcohol levels are too low, but the police take him in, anyway, and Jongin gets dragged along. "It was your idea, anyway," Lu Han reasons out, then nudges Jongin in his side. "You wanted to get Banana Milk from some convenience store in Apkeujong and we're miles away—" "And you said yes. You could've easily said no." Lu Han sighs and pulls his knees close to his chest. Jongin looks around for an audience before leaning his head on Lu Han's shoulder. "Happy New Year," he mumbles, then leans in to place a kiss on Lu Han's cheek. Lu Han hitches his breath, and he stares at Jongin for the longest time. "The least you could do is greet me back." Lu Han shakes his head. Number seven, unpredictable. "Happy New Year, brat." --- After a while, Lu Han finally stops counting, not because he's lost track of their many encounters but because Jongin starts to ask for more — a hug, a lingering touch, a kiss. There really isn't anything wrong with any of Jongin's requests, but when the kisses begin to send a funny feeling to the pit of Lu Han's stomach, he starts thinking twice about being too receptive to Jongin's bad ideas. --- The following year, they win Artist and Album of the Year. The leaders are a sobbing mess during the acceptance speech, so Lu Han steps up, going through the list of people to thank in his head. Halfway through, Jongin adds, "And of course, we'd like to thank our fans," and this earns cheers from the crowd and laughter from the members. Everyone in the group knows it's a dare because Jongin rarely ever chokes up anything coherent enough during acceptance speeches, but Lu Han still stares in wonder, anyway. "And our parents — without them, without their support, we wouldn't have made it this far." Lu Han slips beside Jongin when Kris and Joonmyun finally find their voices again, then slips an arm around Jongin's shoulder. "So, what would've been the consequences of not doing the dare," he asks, then punctuates his question with a smirk. Jongin laughs a little and nudges him in his side in response. "I would've had to walk up to you to profess my undying love for you," Jongin says after a while. "You would've what?" "I said, they would have forced me to profess my undying love for you." Lu Han swallows down hard, bites the inside of his cheek to keep himself from smiling too much. Maybe this is part of the dare, to make Lu Han crack up in front of the crowd and have pictures of him laughing silly circulating online, so Lu Han just keeps at it and shakes his head. "Well, you just did." Jongin chuckles. "Yeah, I figured a little too late." Kris and Joonmyun gesture for them to fall in line, so they do, and Lu Han slips his hand in Jongin's. Jongin's eyes widen before he reaches for Sehun's hand on his other side, and the rest follow suit. Number eight, Lu Han notes, cute, maybe even adorable. Jongin squeezes Lu Han's hand too tight and snickers a little. The list goes on. |
